In communication, we always want response. Sometimes, unresponsiveness of the one you are communicating with is considered as a sign of disrespect. In Twitterverse, responsiveness also counts.
Some tweeters who employ this micro-blogging tool for their online marketing business just keep on sending tweets, advertising their business or whatever service or product they offer. They even use automaton to make the sending of tweets automated. TweetLater for instance, they use it to schedule their tweets. This strategy may work but at a very small probability. Responsiveness is a virtue in Twitterverse. It should be two-way. This means that it is not only your followers you should reply on your tweets, you are the one they follow should also respond to their tweets.
Followers that are responsive of your tweets are your assets. You can easily ask them favor to retweet what you tweet. Responsive tweeters are those that follows you naturally and are really interested about your business—the service or product that you offer. You can measure the responsiveness of your Twitter followers by asking a somewhat mind-provoking question. Observe how many of your followers respond or retweet your question.
