Search engine optimization that is popularly known in its abbreviation, SEO, is not already a new buzz in the realm of internet marketing. It has long been existent in just a short period of time right after search engines were invented. Yet despite of its popularity, still, there are people who do not know what it is and for what it is really. Its importance in online marketing business should be realized before seeing your business slowly dying.

SEO is simply defined as the process being done to have your website gain online visibility through search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. The processes involved in SEO include optimizing the website through several on page and off page optimization tasks. On page optimization tasks include putting Meta tags (title, description, keywords) of a website. This is important because search engine spiders read these when a web page is being crawled. Of the three components of Meta tags, title and description are the most important, keywords being the least important. The Meta title is what appears as the big blue link on the search engine results page. The Meta description is what appears below the big blue link; hence the name—web page description.
